I pretty much adore all Saint Laurent bags that I see, but I fell in love with this particular one called the Betty, a svelte and clean-cut shoulder bag with modern lines. The classic shape & structure remind me very much of a Chanel bag, and so does the chain strap, which provides the perfect complement to this chic piece. The chain has the same feature as in a Chanel bag; you can change the length by wearing it as a regular purse (with two straps) or making it longer to be a cross-body bag.

This bag has definitely made its way around at Fashion Week with various leather finishes and sizes (small, medium, jumbo, etc.). I opted for the grained leather with the black metal chain strap. That seemed to me a more unusual rock n’ roll combination, but was a popular choice as it immediately sold out everywhere. This bag is a classic and will pretty much go with whatever you are wearing. Since fall is here, I like the idea of combining it with cozy knitted sweaters, skinny jeans, and suede over-the-knee boots such as the LOWLAND Stuart Weizmann boots and a black pair of Ray-Bans or Celine sunglasses.
